Educational programs through “H2O Planet” are designed to inspire grassroot community efforts to collaborate together for environmental sustainability. We work with students of all ages (ages 10+) as well as Underserved Populations who may not otherwise have access to Scuba Experiences (including Veterans, Scouts, low-income families, and those with physical or learning challenges). “Scuba” becomes to mechanism that taps into each individual’s natural curiosity about Sea Creatures and the Underwater World.
** To enhance equity and diversity in marine careers, Divers from “H2O Planet” are partnering with Rebecca Johnson Elementary School and the Springfield School Volunteers to support their new “Inner-City Scuba Team” – comprised of youth from a low-income, high-minority School (who were previously Non-Swimmers – but are now learning to swim, then dive, and will eventually travel to dive Coral Reefs in Bahamas - as part of our conservation and career exploration programs. Photos below (and links to TV News and Newspaper articles) highlight this exciting new program and its Student Participants.
